After 157 months waiting for Game Of Thrones Season 7, we're now one episode in and happy our lives can once again revolve around the land of dragons, dire wolves and death... lots of death.

By doing a little digging online, we managed to find out who the original actors were for the show when the pilot was filmed. For various reasons, the actors who were tapped on the shoulder (and in some cases even FILMED their role in the pilot) had to turn down their role and we bet they are kicking themselves!

First up is Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen. While we now know her as Emilia Clarke in real life, Emilia wasn't actually the original star to play her! An actress by the name of Tamsin Merchant was the OG platinum locked queen but sadly dropped out due to 'unknown circumstances'. She filmed her role for the pilot but when the show was green lit and the schedule was put together for reshoots, she couldn't make it happen.

Dani isn't the only character that should have had a different actress play her, X Files mega star Gillian Anderson was apparently offered the role of the Red Woman, Melisandre. Gillian revealed in an interview that her 18-year-old daughter was horrified she turned down a role on GOT. While she didn't confirm it was playing the red woman, fans online are convinced that she would have NAILED the part!

This one is a little bit of chalk and cheese if you will. We all love Jon Snow (swoon) and love to hate Ramsay Bolton... but did you know Iwan Rheon who played Ramsay, actually auditioned to play JON? No. Just no. Nobody can play Jon Snow other than Kit Harington, thank you very much.
