The first MasterChef elimination challenge for the year was stressful AF.
Ray, Lee and Pete all failed to create tantalising dishes during last night's challenges and became the first three contestants to battle it out for a place in the competition.
At first, everything seemed pretty simple.
Follow Gary's instructions and imitate the dish that he prepares.
The dish he decided to make was roast chicken served with peas but instead of being served as just regular peas, the little green monsters were transformed into a custard and a puree.
When it was time to kick things off, all three contestants seemed to be handling things pretty well.
They were able to keep up and imitate Gary quite easily, but then, things started getting dicey.
Lee and Pete both began to fall behind and became quite flustered.
They were able to get themselves back on track but Ray, he wasn't so lucky.
The doctor started to fall behind, like his fellow contestants, but he then found himself in a tough situation when his pan ended up catching fire.
The smoke alarms in the warehouse were triggered and fans really just couldn't handle what they had seen.
Ray picked up the pace but things just went downhill from there.
His custard hadn't set properly either and fans were pretty convinced that he was going to be sent home.
When it was time for the judges to taste the dishes, Ray had cooked some things quite well, but his custard had not done him any favours.
Since Pete's dish ended up pleasing the judges quite a lot, it looked like Ray was definitely on the chopping block.
That is, until Lee presented his dish.
Unfortunately, as George explained, "uncooked chicken always sends you home" and because Lee's chicken was still quite pink, he ended up leaving the competition.
Here's hoping Ray doesn't scare us like THAT again...
