The Bachelor’s Matty J is set to return to Australian TV after scoring a new job with Channel Ten!
Having found love with Laura Bryne on The Bachelor last year (and recently confirming proposal plans), Matty J will be returning to Ten, this time joining lifestyle program The Living Room!
According to The Sun-Herald, Matty has been offered a full-time presenting role, with his first gig seeing him adventure over to New Zealand for a travel segment.
The 30-year-old, however, says he didn’t have any plans to return to TV after The Bachelor wrapped up.
"Even when the episodes were on air, I went back to work with my marketing agency” he told the news outlet.
“I was on a six-month contract and I finished the project and I didn't really have any desire, as such, to go back on TV."
Matty bumped into The Living Room’s executive producer at a charity event when she asked him if he wanted to film a travel piece for them.
“I was a bit nervous doing it for the first time. Talking conversationally and being yourself when you're looking down the barrel of the camera is actually so difficult.
“If I can be on TV while still being myself, then that would be the dream gig.”
Matty is set to appear on The Living Room this Friday at 7:30pm!
