Jake Ellis Admits He Could Have Handled Last Night's Rose Ceremony Better Network Ten

Yes, last night's rose ceremony on Bachelor In Paradise was a bit of a mess for a variety of reasons. Not only did Blake forget Laurina's name, we also saw the boys freak out when Mack decided to give Ali a rose first up when when two other guys on the show wanted to give her a rose...

Seeing them silently scramble was both uncomfortable and amazing.

Then, to top everything off, Jake Ellis chose to save Megan over Florence and really, no one really understood what happened.

Florence had a few salty words to say about Jake's actions, but earlier this morning, the Bachelorette star took to Instagram to admit that yes, he could have handled the rose ceremony better, but he just did what his heart told him to do.

"I honestly went into this experience with an open mind and the intent to truly follow my heart.

"Just like everyone else in Paradise, I am here to find the right person for me and me only, which will include making mistakes and experiencing triumphs along the way.

"I found myself in a situation that I’ve never been in before in which I never intended to hurt anyone.

"Yes in hindsight I could have handled it differently, but I am human after all just like you. All I can say is that I did follow my heart and I made a decision in the hope to find myself closer to what I’m searching for in paradise. Thank you to those who have supported me."

We've already seen Megan kiss another girl on Bachelor In Paradise in a sneaky preview, so will Jake have his heart broken too?
