Cult television series House Of Cards will officially continue filming it's sixth season without Kevin Spacey in 2018.
Earlier this morning, Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos released a statement at the UBS’s Global Media and Communications Conference in New York saying that Robin Wright will be the star of the series, after many fans of the show took to social media campaigning for her to be the show's new lead.
Production on the sixth season was suspended in October when actor Anthony Rapp accused Kevin of making a sexual advance towards him when he was a teenager.
Ted said that he was happy that the crew, that comprises of 370 people, would be able to return to the show as well as "the 2,000 people in Baltimore" who work on the show as it is filmed in the city.
"We were really excited we could get to an agreement… for the conclusion of the show."
The new season will consist of eight episodes with Robin as the star.
