You may have noticed that there's a distinct lack of live music on Australian TV these days and it feels like the days of people like Molly Meldrum interviewing some of the biggest acts in the country are over...
Don't worry though, because it's not!
A brand new live music TV show is about to launch here in Australia and it will be showcasing some of the best bands around Australia at the moment, introducing viewers to music they otherwise may not have heard before!
The show will be called Jam Live and will feature live performances from bands at venues and festivals in South Australia.
Local SA acts and touring acts will all be highlighted on this new show that will showcase the best musical acts that our country has to offer!
The show's host, Shenelle Franklin, told Music Feeds that the show plans to immerse viewers in the entire live music experience.
"The show is designed just as much for the venues and festivals as it is for the artists and bands. We aim to showcase live music, be a fly on the wall and capture the magic for the viewer.
"More importantly, we want to open their ears to music they may not have heard before. It is designed to get people excited about live music and back into supporting the local artists, the touring artists and of course the venues and festivals who put these artists on.”
The first series will be made up of five 30 minute episodes that feature performances by Regurgitator, San Cisco, Tired Lion, West Thebarton, Dean Lewis, Josh Cashman and Boo Seeka.
The show premieres on Channel Nine in Adelaide on June 4 at 4:30pm, the rest of the country will have to watch it on 9Now before we get it on our television screens!
