Yesterday, Masterchef’s George Calombaris was involved in a very intense fight at a football game after the crowd yelled insults at him for underpaying staff… and now, the fight is far from over.

The footage, which was posted by The World Game, shows fans calling out for George to “pay his staff” before the chef shouted back, eventually pushing a fan before walking away.

The footage soon went viral online. It also shows a police officer having words with the Masterchef judge. You can hear fans in the background screaming for him to be arrested.

George was eventually taken away from the game.

Now, following the drama, an investigation has been launched by police to investigate the alleged assault by George.

Yesterday, George released a statement apologising for his actions:

“I am really disappointed with what occurred last night.

“I regret the way in which I reacted, I am disappointed that I let it get to me, and I sincerely apologise for offending anyone.

“While I am not proud of my reaction to the situation, I was offended by a spectator yelling out abusive and derogatory comments about my family.”

With so much footage around of the incident we hope they can get to the bottom of it!
