Actor Jim Carrey didn’t hold back during his New York Fashion Week interview yesterday calling the event ‘meaningless’ and questioning the whole universe.
The interview was abnormal straight off the bat, with the Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind actor circling E! News reporter Catt Sadler as she approached him.
The awkwardness was switched up a notch when the Catt asked “is it true you’re wondering the streets looking for a date to the party, what’s up?” as her very first question. A pretty inappropriate question considering Jim’s girlfriend tragically passed away just two years ago.
Jim then went on to call the event meaningless and the celebration of icons as “low”, before breaking out into a James Brown impersonation.
“I don’t believe in icons. I don’t believe in personalities,” he shared. “I believe that peace lies beyond personality. Beyond invention and disguise. Beyond the red S that you wear on your chest that makes bullets bounce off. I believe it is deeper than that.”
We do have to give props to Catt who handled the discussion the best she could.
