Ed Westwick Has Been Dropped From BBC TV Special Amidst Allegations

Actor Ed Westwick has been dropped from the BBC’s adaptation of Agatha Christie's Ordeal By Innocence and has had his role recast.

BBC replaced Ed following sexual assault allegations made against the former Gossip Girl star by three women towards the end of last year.

Ed has vehemently denied all allegations.

Ordeal By Innocence was due to be aired over the Christmas period, however, BBC pulled the programme until the case was resolved.

When the allegations were first made, BBC released the following statement:

"These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied.

"The BBC is not making any judgement but until these matters are resolved we will not include Ordeal By Innocence in the schedules."

Now, actor Christian Cooke has been recast in Ed’s place and a new air date is expected to be released soon.
