Six months after she passed away, Carrie Fisher's cause of death has been revealed.
The actress was rushed to hospital following a cardiac arrest in December 2016 and today, the L.A. County Medical Examiner's office has confirmed that she died of sleep apnea.
The office also explained to Entertainment Tonight that "other undermined factors" contributed to the actress' death, but sleep apnea was the main cause.
Carrie passed away in hospital on December 27, 2016.
Mark Hamill, who starred alongside Carrie in the Star Wars films, recently paid tribute to the actress at the Tony Awards on Sunday as he presented the 'In Memoriam' segment.
