What a rollercoaster of a year 2017 has been.
We've watched as love flourished between a celebrity and a royal; we've cried as legends left us too soon; we've spat our drinks out during ridiculous reality TV, and gained black eyes during one or two Aldi brawls.
For a year that has come and gone within the blink of an eye, a whole lot sure has happened - so, before leaving 2017 behind to make way for a fresh start to 2018, let's take a moment to reflect on the year that was.
Harvey Weinstein and sexual assault within Hollywood.
Not the headline we'd like to be kicking things off with, although there's no denying that the seemingly endless headlines of sexual misconduct throughout Hollywood took over 2017. It has been the year of many women standing up against their abusers, resulting in Time Magazine's Person of the Year acting as an honourable nod to all the victims who spoke out about and drew attention to sexual abuse and its magnitude: the 'Silence Breakers'.
Back in September, we lost a truly iconic man - the founder of Playboy, Hugh Hefner. He was 91-years-old.
After an ongoing legal battle, Abby Lee Miller, the ruthless teacher from US reality show Dance Moms, was sentenced to one year and one day in jail for bankruptcy fraud.
The world was rocked when it got wind of Chester Bennington's death, at the young age of 41.
The Linkin Park frontman was remembered by Coldplay's Chris Martin, Jared Leto, Jay Z, Blink 182 and Korn's Jonathan David in a series of heartfelt tributes.
He is survived by his wife Talinda and six children: Jaime, Isaiah, Draven, Tyler Lee and twins Lilly and Lila.
Beyoncé's twins, obviously!
Yes, 2017 marked the year that Queen Bey announced her pregnancy in the most OTT way of all time that only, well, Beyoncé could get away with!
Bey, Jay Z and Blue Ivy welcomed bundles of joy Sir and Rumi Carter back in June this year.
The photo ended up becoming the most liked image on Instagram this year, and we're going to go ahead and say it was a well-deserved win!
We all know that 2016 wasn't the best year for Matty J *cough* Georgia Love broke his heart *cough* but thankfully, there was no deja vu come 2017!
BUT, there was a moment last season when we thought that there might be.
According to an 'on set insider' who spoke to NW, the adorable puppy-eyed Bachie was going to get his heart broken again in the final episode of the season. Rumour had it that the 30-year-old was going to propose, only to be met with a cold, "no". But alas, this was not true!
Yes - Matty J is now very loved up with the beautiful Laura Byrne! (Also, a 2017 highlight.)
What a time to be alive! When a celebrity and a royal's world's collide!
The Royal Family confirmed the couple's engagement just last month, and the wedding is said to go ahead in the spring of next year.
What would a year of reality TV be without a heartbreak?
Unfortunately, this year we saw plant-loving Jarrod Woodgate have his heart broken on national TV by Aussie icon Sophie Monk, and boy.. it was rough.
So rough in fact, that the Bachie boy wanted to drown his sorrows in the ocean, although Channel 10 wouldn't let him because he was wearing their suit!
Yeesh, way to kick a man when he's down.
Selena Gomez's kidney transplant
This year, our beloved Selena Gomez revealed that she had to undergo and emergency kidney transplant due to her lupus.
Luckily for the 25-year-old, her best friend Francia Raisa was a perfect match and donated her kidney with no questions asked.
Selena has been extremely vocal about her struggle with lupus to help raise awareness for the autoimmune disease.
This year, Emma Watson made history when she won the first award of its kind at the MTV Movie and TV Awards.
The award was for Best Actor - a gender-neutral award.
The 27-year-old took home the award for her role in Beauty and the Beast.
Ah yes, T-Swift's infamous return with her instant hit single 'Look What You Made Me Do' - a savage reminder that none of her enemies are safe because, well, you don't cross Taylor!
Earlier this year, Pepsi pulled one of their commercials featuring Kendall Jenner.
The commercial sparked mass outrage online after it was said to trivialise the recent protests by African Americans fighting against police brutality.
The ad followed a violent protest between a community and police. Once Kendall handed a police office a Pepsi, peace was restored.
2017 was indeed the year we learned that true love does not exist.
The couple who restored our hope in Hollywood marriage, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, split this year after eight years of marriage.
The pair took to their social media accounts to confirm the news back in August.
This year was a massive year for Taylor Swift.
The 28-year-old, who was preparing to release her sixth album, was simultaneously making her way through a court battle.
Swift sued Colorado DJ David Mueller after he groped her at a meet and greet back in 2013 - the singer songwriter sued him for a symbolic $1.
When the Oscar for Best Picture DIDN'T go to La La Land.
It was the mix up that made the entire world cringe.
After cleaning up at the annual Academy Awards, La La Land was incorrectly announced as the winner of 'Best Picture'.
After a very awkward on-stage retraction, the correct winners, Moonlight, gingerly walked on stage to claim their award.
Kylie Jenner & Khloe Kardashian's "pregnancies".
Are Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner pregnant? It's been the question on everyone's lips and has easily been the most annoying back and forth story of 2017.
Listen, we still don't even know what to say about this! All we can say is, stay tuned!
Ariana Grande's tragic Manchester concert.
In May this year, tragedy struck at Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester England.
A terror-related attack led to the death of 22 people and severe wounds of 59 others.
The following month, celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, and Justin Bieber performed at the One Love tribute show for all the live's tragically lost.
Following the tribute show, Ariana Grande was made an honorary citizen of Manchester.
