In 2016, Disney announced that they would be working with famed film director and producer, Stephen Spielberg, on a fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones film franchise.
Then, nothing happened.
Now, though, Stephen has announced that the movie will begin filming in 2019 and has confirmed that Harrison Ford will be returning as the titular character!
The director shared the news as he was accepting the Legend of Our Lifetime award at the Rakuten TV Empire Awards in London.
"It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK.
"The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here."
Yep, so the new instalment will start filming in London and at this stage, there' no word on what treasures Indiana Jones will be hunting for.
The previous instalment of the popular film series, Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of the Crystal Skull, came out 10 years ago and featured Cate Blanchett and Shia LeBeouf in starring roles alongside Harrison.
So far, the new film only has Indy cast, so there's no word on whether or not Cate or Shia will return.
Which will be interesting considering the last film kind of hinted that Shia would be the next Indiana Jones...
We guess we'll find out more later on!
