Disney and Netflix are two things we can all probably agree are blessings in our life.
So, when they combined and Disney films started appearing on Netflix, life seemed perfect.
Only thing is, Disney are about to yank some of our fave films from Netflix and we don’t know how to feel about it.
The news comes after goss’ broke that Disney would be starting up their own streaming service.
While it was unknown whether all content would be removed and shifted to their own service, fans were worried that their other brands and properties would be removed too, specifically their Marvel and Star Wars content.
Unfortunately, the answer as to if this is happening is yes.
That’s right, no more dreamy Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man or Chris Evans as Captain America for us all to gush over…
Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed during an investor Q&A that, “We’ve now decided we will put the Marvel and ‘Star Wars’ movies on this app as well.”
While films like The Avengers and Iron Man will be removed, co-creations between Netflix and Disney, like Daredevil, Luke Cage, etc., will stay on Netflix.
It is unknown as of yet whether this will also affect Netflix Australia, so stay tuned!
