Yes, his character is dead.

There have been many reincarnations of James Bond because for some reason, the British film and TV industry just loves to regenerate classic characters (cough, Doctor Who, cough).

It's hard to pick your favourite Bond but Game Of Thrones fans will be pleased to know that the next 007 could potentially be an iconic Westeros alum.

The Sun has reported that Richard Madden, who played the eldest Stark child in the show and was slain in probably the best and worst TV episode in history, the Red Wedding, could be our next Bond! (If you're angry about that "spoiler" then may we reiterate that the episode aired in 2013, so you are YEARS behind and you have no one to blame but yourself.)

Richard has had a pretty steady career since he left the Stark family, he played the love interest in Netflix's travel comedy Ibiza and will soon appear in the Elton John biopic Rocketman.

So, will he also become the next man with a license to kill?

If he does, Richard would be the second ever Scottish man to take on the role after the one and only, Sean Connery.

Do you think he'd make a good 007?
