Remember when you were a kid and because the lines to meet Santa at the shops was so long you decided to just write him a letter letting him know what you wanted for Christmas?
It may have been a while ago, but luckily, kids today are still writing letters and some of them are just adorable!
Others though, well, they're definitely not what you'd expect.
Sarah McCammon, a reporter for NPR, came home one afternoon to find her son's letter to Santa the he wrote at school and honestly, when you read it, you'll either love it and feel like this kid understands you, or you're going to be incredibly confused.
Sarah posted the letter on Twitter and because her boy is only 6, she typed up a translation so we can get the full experience of reading this extremely nihilistic letter:

If you're wondering what kind of trouble this kid actually has in his life, like everyone else who read this letter on Twitter, Sarah clarified for us all:

He told SANTA that his "life was empty".
Excuse us while we go and watch Love Actually and sing 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' for the next few hours...
