The Turnbull Gov Release Draft National Action Plan To Tackle Endometriosis

1 in 10 women

700,000 women in Australia

7-12 years to diagnose

$7.7 billion to the public’s wallet

This is Endometriosis; an illness that leaves women in debilitating pain and can lead to infertility.

It is when the lining of the uterus grows outside of it latching itself onto various parts of the body like spider webs. It causes pain, nausea, bowel problems, anxiety and depression.

It’s a condition that thousands have suffered with in silence, until recently when we managed to get the conversation started in Parliament.

The health minister even apologised to 'endo warriors' for being ignored and for going through so much, and revealed they would be investing a huge amount of money to start a change.

The Turnbull Government has released the initial draft National Action Plan for Endometriosis.

The draft plan was developed with endometriosis patient advocates, researchers and clinicians from around Australia earlier this year.

Now it’s our turn to make sure our voices are heard and we can have our say about the plan. Check it out here!
