Here's How To Host A Fancy Royal Wedding Viewing Party!

With coverage of the Royal Wedding kicking off this Saturday evening in Australia, many of us are dedicating the night to hosting a viewing party!

Here are some simple tips and ideas for the big night...

Serve high tea

Whip up some delicious finger sandwiches, scones, mini cakes and English tea (of course!). You can purchase a three-tiered stand from Etsy.

Get crowns or fascinators for all guests

Hit up your local cheap store for a cheap party crown to get into the Royal spirit or go fancy with a fascinator and feel like you're apart of the wedding!

Toast to Harry & Meghan with a Royally-themed cocktail!

Our hot tips: "Harry of the Dog" (Hair of the dog) and a "Markle-rita!" (Margarita)

Wedding dress making competition

If you've been to a Hen's night you'll know this one well! Grab some rolls of cheap toilet paper, get in teams and choose one bride per team. Set a timer for 10 minutes and whichever team can dress their bride in the BEST toilet paper dress, wins!

Pin the tail on the corgi

We know this is the Royal dog of choice! Get crafty and creative with this party classic, which is also perfect for the kids! You can also purchase a Pin The Jewel On The Crown game from Etsy.

Royal Family trivia

There's always one expert! Challenge your knowledge ahead of the ceremony with a round of Royal Family Trivia. Check out this website for inspiration.

Spice Girls karaoke

When the ceremony is done and dusted, break out the old Singstar set, fire up the Spice Girls playlist and sing the night away to your favourite brit-pop belters!
