Budget 2018-19: Boost For Health, Education, Roads & Infrastructure
Plus Funding For Our Zoo
The 2018/2019 NSW budget has been delivered with the Central West and Orana regions getting a boost in health and education, roads and infrastructure funding.
$6.3 million has been committed to the planning phase for the new Dubbo bridge over the Macquarie River, while $20 million will help continue the delivery of overtaking lanes on the Mitchell Highway.
Meantime, Stages 3 and 4 of the Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment will be enhanced thanks to a $59 million investment, a $6 million allocation, taking the total funding for a planned Western Cancer Centre in Dubbo to $35 million.
Other earmarks include funding for the Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
