A Sultry Cuban Festival Arrives On The Gold Coast This Weekend
Half of my heart is in Havana...
Has Camila Cabello's Cuban-esque 'Havana' music clip got you feelin' like Ooh-ooh-ooh? Is half of your heart in Havana?
The sultry dance hit has had the whole world singing to the beat of a Latin drum, and this weekend, a little taste of Cuba arrives on the Gold Coast.
Introducing... Carnaval De Cuba: A night of Latin dancing, music and family for one night only at Helensvale's NightQuarter.
Follow the aroma and sounds, and a very long Conga line, through suburbia as the popular night market comes alive with Havana dancers and drool-worthy Latin food.
Try quintessential dishes including Arroz Con Pollo and shredded beef or pulled pork on a bed of yellow rice and black beans, washed down with a range of local Latina beers.
Pack your dancing shoes, because a high energy line up will take the stage where you can boogie the night away over Afro Cuban beats by Brisbane groovers El Timbon.
The 12-piece band will jam out to Timba, Songo and Salsa sounds keeping Cuban music well and truly alive throughout the night.
They'll share the spotlight with Suavito's repertoire of mellow & traditional style Latin music, but still enough to get the conga line moving and the hips shaking!
Grab the family and join the Latin fever of Carnaval De Cuba this Saturday 28th July from 4pm - 10pm at NightQuarter along Town Centre Drive in Helensvale.
Keep up to date with all the latest NightQuarter events via their Facebook page.
Carpe Diem, Gold Coast!
