Zakria Thanks South Australia For His Family's Welcome Pack & Shares His Story About Escaping Afghanistan

A few weeks ago we asked South Australia to help us welcome 250 refugees from Afghanistan who would soon call Adelaide their new home.

With the help of Foodland, we put together packs including toiletries, traditional food items, and South Australian goodies including Haighs and Fruchocs. We then asked for donations from you to fund them and within ONE MORNING they were ready to go. 

Bec, Cosi and Lehmo spoke to one of the recipients of these packs Zakria Basheer about his welcome to South Australia. 

Zakria shared his gratitude for the welcome and then gave us some insight into just what he escaped in Afghanistan:
