New South Wales police have raided the home of a 40-year-old woman, accused of ripping of a business she worked for in Murwillumbah.

The woman was fired in March, after more than seven years at the company.

It will be alleged that during that time she defrauded the business by more than $130,000.

Detectives searched her Bray Park home on Tuesday morning and seized documents and electronic devices.

They were sent off for forensic examination.

The 40-year-old was arrested at the scene and later charged with seven counts of steal property as a servant.

She was granted strict conditional bail and was expected to face Murwillumbah Local Court on May 23.

Police were expected to lay further charges.
