Work On a New $70 Million Hospital for Roma to Commence Later This Year

With demolition complete the next step is developing a detailed tender document to start construction of the new $70 million Roma Hospital.

South West Hospital and Health Service Chief Executive Glnis Schultz has said that tenders for the early works will be up by August and she is expecting construction to start in November with the hospital to be completed by 2020.

The new hospital will include 20 single patients’ rooms with en-suites, 2 two bed patient rooms, palliative care and mental health accommodation and 14 treatment bays.

The hospital will be a big boost for the region bringing bring over a hundred jobs to the region.
