There is further proof that Gold Coasters still live in the luckiest city in Queensland.

Golden Casket revealed the Gold Coast scored more than $74 million in first division lotto windfalls in the 12 months up to November 30, five times more than anywhere else in the state.

There were 18 local winners in 2018, including the biggest single prize of $60 million, which was claimed by a retired Burleigh Heads man in November.

Southport and Labrador was the luckiest postcode (4215) with four of the winning tickets sold there totalling $2,984,776.

Burleigh, Mermaid Waters and Elanora areas were all tied for second, selling three in each postcode.

The Pines News & Gifts at Elanora remarkably sold two division one winning entries alone.
