A website that has comprehensively summaries the state of our health here in #Perth has revealed some alarming statistics about #Perth's obesity and activity rates.
Put simply, overall, it's not good.
The website, by the Australian Health Policy Collaboration, allows users to target areas within Australia and see how the general state of health is for said areas. Data for this particular website was collected between 2014 and 2015.
We drilled some down key areas of health, and the results were alarming.
Highest Rates Of Obese And Overweight Adults In Greater Perth
- Seville Grove: 71.2%
- Armadale / Wungong / Brookdale: 70%
- Kwinana (West): 68.7%
- Butler / Merriwa / Ridgewood / Clarkson: 68%
- Kwinana (East): 67.6%
Highest Rates Of Obese And Overweight Children In Greater Perth
- Balga / Mirrabooka / Nollamarra / Westminster: 31.9%
- Canning (North): 31.4%
- Wanneroo (South): 30.6%
- Butler / Merriwa / Ridgewood / Clarkson: 30%
- Carramar / Tapping / Ashby / Sinagra: 29.4%
However, searching for indicators such as drinking and smoking also revealed some very interesting results.

- East Fremantle / Fremantle: 29.8%
- Fremantle (South) / O'Connor: 28.7%

- City Beach / Floreat: 26.3%
Current Rate Of Current Smokers Aged 18 Years Or Over In Greater Perth
- Kwinana (West): 27%
- Armadale / Wungong / Brookdale: 25.8%
- Beckenham / Gosnells / Maddington: 24.3%
- Camillo / Champion Lakes / Kelmscott: 23.6%
- Greenfields / Mandurah / Mandurah South: 23.4%
Finally, we checked on who's the least active in Perth.
