It's that time of year again where we gather 'round and sip on delicious gin while celebrating what is World Gin Day! This Saturday gives you the perfect opportunity to get a group together and taste the best Gin on the Gold Coast. Want to know where to celebrate? Here's just a few places around town to get you started: 

Grandad Jacks Craft Distillery

Granddad Jack's is a family-owned and operated business, founded by the grandson and great-grandson of the infamous Granddad Jack! They recreate 90-year-old family recipes and distill new ones for everyone to enjoy - you can even make your own Gin there! You can't go past their Gin tasting paddles with a selection of their best Gins!

The Roosevelt Lounge 

You'll find The Roosevelt Lounge in Broadbeach, right next to The Loose Moose. Lead Mixologist, Breeana Erice, has created a special Gin libation titled One for the Sages. It's a perfect blend of Green Chartreuse, Applewood Gin infused with Tarragon, lemon and lime juice and green mandarin syrup. 

Saint Helens Kitchen + Bar

Head on over to Kirra's Saint Helens Kitchen & Bar to taste test their signature cocktail, The Gin ThrusterOwner Jess Hayes explains that a “Thruster is a surfboard with three fins and the cocktail pays homage to Kirra’s world-renowned surfing hotspot”. The cocktail is made up of three main ingredients - Gin, blueberry and tonic. It's the perfect Insta snap!

The Collective Palm Beach

The Rooftop Bar at The Collective Palm Beach is where to be this weekend for World Gin Day! Their delicious Gin cocktails include Rose Hip Martini with Poor Toms Gin, hibiscus syrup, lime and grapefruit, Unnamed Sympathy with macadamia-infused Nobel Cut Gin, Bushfire Botanic Australis Gin, and pine-lime allspice and Portuguse Breakfast with Ink Gin, marmalade and chamomile syrup, fig liqueur, Sloe Gin, Fino Sherry and lime served-up in a mug with a side of vegemite toast. Iconic!

Burleigh Pavilion

Burleigh Pavilion is the new hotspot for social drinks & good food! You can't go past their Pink Gin Kombucha or one of their Gin cocktails like the Cool Collins with Bombay Gin, Canton Ginger Liqueur, cucumber, mint & lime.

Mexicali Taquera Y Bar

You'll find Mexicali at Nobby Beachl, serving up their Sweet Baby Jesus cocktail, with dry gin, elderflower, watermelon, passionfruit, lime & mint - it's set to be a hit for a sunny Gold Coast arvo! 

Cambus Wallace

Also at Nobby's, Cambus Wallace is the perfect spot for a casual drink with friends. Try their BFG Punch, with Brookie’s gin, fig liqueur, grapefruit juice, lemon, orgeat, mint & a dash of Fernet. Served over ice in a tall glass.
