As kids get ready to go back to school next week, they’re also preparing to suffer some separation anxiety from their favourite devices.

A new mobile phone policy comes into effect this year across all public schools in the nation’s capital.

Students from Kindy to Year 10 at public schools may not use their phones at recess or lunch, or during school authorised events, while Year 11 and 12 students must turn off and put away phones during class time.

Hit 1047’s Wilko & Court’s discovered a school interstate that’s also had to take action to stop kids from using their phones during school time.
