Mass vaccinations will again become available to West Australians in their 30s, as the government announced a two-week blitz to begin this month.

The state government aim to reach a 70-percent coverage, the magic number to rid lockdowns altogether.

The McGowan government want to administer 140,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine between August 16 and August 29.

"I think we've got a really good opportunity to get to 70 percent this year," Head Of COVID Task Force, Lieutenant General John Frewen explains.

"But as we've seen from international experience, getting above 70 percent does require concerted effort."

Close to 360,000 West Aussies are fully vaccinated, as the number continues to rise.

From Wednesday, residents aged between 30 to 39 who are previously registered for a jab will be given priority booking.

Those in their 30s who are not already registered will be able to sign up through the Roll Up For WA website from August 9.

During the two-week blitz, the number of appointments and opening hours will be increased at vaccination clinics specific to areas such as Kwinana, Claremont, Redcliffe and Joondalup.
