Hello sun!

Winter is almost over and in good news for sun seekers, our spring is expected to be warmer and drier than average.

Perth has endured a wetter than average winter, while August has seen the most rain fall in the city in more than 50 years.

The official rain gauge for Mount Lawley rose to nearly 176 mils for the month so far, the highest city reading since 1965.

Now, the forecast is for a drier and warmer spring across most of Australia, including Perth and the South West.

With low rainfall and clear skies likely, there will be the risk of cold nights and frost in the south, but overall, warmer than normal overnight minimums are likely.
