Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development have urgently called on Esperance gardeners to return a prohibited plant, after 800 of them were mistakenly sold across the state.
Callisia Repens, also known as a 'Pink Lady' by it's trade name, is prohibited in WA due to its potential environmental problems.
Gardeners who recently purchased a Callisia Pink Lady from Bunnings Esperance are being asked to return it to the store and will receive a full refund. Purchases would have been from the Indoor Collective Range in a 180mm pot for $11.99.
According to the department, 13 of the 15 Callisia Pink Lady sold in Esperance are still yet to be recovered.
