A woman believed to be in her fifties was taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital with a broken ankle, after a crash on the Pacific highway at Hurley drive yesterday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 1:30pm when one vehicle rear-ended another, closing the middle lane of the highway for over an hour.

It was the third accident on the Highway through the Coffs Coast in the space of 24 hours.

In other traffic news, motorists in all directions had to deal with traffic lights being blacked out on th Pacific Highway through coffs from around 4:30 this morning.

Live Traffic is reporting Utility companies are currently directing traffic and the Highway's intersections with Beryl Street and Park Beach Road.
