We all love having a glass of wine after a long day, getting away from the chaos of work and life.

While we’ve been told mixed things about whether or not it’s good for us, new research from the Washington State University and Harvard Medical School has revealed that having two glasses of red wine before bed could help you lose weight!

Their study looked at the appetitie-surpressing chemical Resveratol found in wine, which comes from plants and enables them to bounce back from damage. However, it can also be used to combat your body’s fat cells and suppress your desire to eat. 

The study followed over 20,000 women across a 13 year period, finding that women who drink two glasses of wine each day (with one being at a later hour at night) were 70 percent more likely to experience weight loss than those who didn’t have any wine - especially in conjunction with a healthy and active lifestyle. 

Being a healthier alcoholic option (when drunk in moderation), and having fat cell-targeting qualities, it’s no wonder it’s a fave drink of so many!
