Townsville Police 'Stepping Up Patrols' Following Shopping Centre Attacks

The local crew in blue are stepping up their patrols these school holidays, after an increase in youth related incidents. 

An 81-year-old man last week was robbed at shops in Kirwan, while the thieves cheered each other on. 

Police say they will now increase their patrols at local shopping centres, keeping an extra close eye on younger citizens. 

Local police say they do target youth groups at shops on a regular basis.
