A total fire ban has been declared across Sydney tomorrow.

This will affect the Greater Sydney, Greater Hunter, Illawarra/Shoalhaven and Southern Ranges.

Very high to severe fire danger is forecast, with the NSW RFS tweeting that people should discuss their bush fire survival plan.

Sydney is expecting temperatures in the high 30s in the west on Friday, with the heat set to continue into the weekend.
