This morning, Nick, Jess & Ducko asked for your hitch hiking horror stories, and heard from a number of Newcastle locals who had a chilling experience to share.
One in particular was East Maitland resident Mark, who told us about a time he hitch hiked in the early '90s.
While in the car, the driver pulled a machete out and refused to pull over while Mark repeatedly asked.
Year later, Mark discovered he'd been picked up by Ivan Milat!
"For years I just thought of this bloke as Crazy Ivan."
