This Is How 'OITNB' Found The Perfect Actress To Play Young Daya

So, like everyone else, we binge watched the latest season of Orange Is The New Black, and again like everyone else thought the actress who played young Daya was SPOT ON!

Fans were so happy that the casting directors found such an amazing actress to play the complex character in the flashbacks scenes.

They took to Twitter to make sure that everyone knew that these guys had done a marvellous job:

But we should probably let you know how smart these guys actually are because they found the perfect actress straight away.

Daya's own daughter!

Dascha Polanco, that dashing actress who plays Daya on the show, gave birth to her daughter Dasany Kristal Gonzalez at age 18 and is now the spitting image of her mum.

Dasany is also an actress so when they were looking for someone to play young Daya, why wouldn't they go for her?

As we said before, the casting team on Orange Is The New Black are smart.
