Snake sighting are on the rise in Australian cities and experts have revealed the sports you’re most likely to come across  one.

Some of the country’s most terrifying snakes, including easten brown, red-bellied black and tiger snakes are becoming more and more common in inner-city suburbs.

Snake Boss, Julia Baker, who runs a snake catching company in Brisbane says she’s caught snakes all over urban areas.

She said snakes will often look for water sources during hot days, and may be lured by pools, dog bowls and can even sneak into houses looking for  air conditioning.

Snake hotspots include:

Melbourne: Ivanhoe, Williamstown, Kew, Templestowe and Frankston North.

Sydney: Mossman, Parramatta, Normanhurst, Watsons Bay.

Brisbane: Taringa Toowong, Wollongabba, Wynnum, Manly.
