Next week, a number of Cricket legends will head into Griffith with the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program to address mental health issues in the community.
The event is part of the Baggy Blues Cricket Tour, and will feature players from the Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder and NSW including Mickey Edwards, Jay Lenton, Chad Sammut, Ben Dwarshuis, Ryan Hadley and Chris Green.
Member for Murray, Austin Evans, encouraged the community to support the match next week, and attend the pre-game cricket coaching clinic for the area's junior cricketers.
Cricket brings our community together, and these matches will not only be great day out for the whole family but an important way for our rural mental health teams to reach those who need support.
- Austin Evans
It's all happening next Thursday 6th December. The coaching clinic will be held from 4pm before the match kicks off at 6:30pm at Exies Sports Ground.
