The Veronicas Reveal Archie Comics Once Threatened To Sue Them Over Their Name

The name Archie is on everybody’s lips this morning, as the world wakes to hear news that this is the name the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have given their first baby.

For many fans, this name had us thinking of the Archie Comics or Riverdale television series… Are Harry and Meghan fans? The character IS one of the most famous redheads in pop culture.

Well, speaking with The Veronicas on air this morning, the Hit Network’s Bec & Cosi asked the sisters about their own connection to the comics and the character’s names.

It turns out Lisa and Jess took inspiration for their band name from a couple of different places, including the film Heathers and the Archie Comics.

But once upon a time, the latter had something to say about it.
