The State Government throws support behind local event

Mildura Harness Racing Club is set to be a hub of activity this weekend, the Andrews Labour Government throwing their support behind Italian Night.

The night celebrates all things Italian; with music, a traditional menu and decorations.

The State Government is contributing almost $7000, as a part of the Victoria Racing Industry Fund Race Day Attraction Program, as a part of a joint funding package of more than $15,000.

The club is contributing more than $7,000 for the night, local businesses providing more than $12,000 of in-kind support.

The racing industry in the Mallee region generates more than $58 million for the Victorian economy each year, helping to sustain more than 570 full-time equivalent roles.
