An Aussie icon!

The iconic Australian chocolate bar Polly Waffle is set to return, but we’ve uncovered an absolute travesty amongst the young people in our office.

Adelaide confectionery company Robern Menz announced it has acquired the Polly Waffle from Nestlè. You may be surprised to hear that Polly Waffles were discontinued by Nestlè way back in 2009 – meaning we’ve been deprived of the wafer and marshmallow filled chocolate for a decade.

We expected that everyone else in our office would be rejoicing at the news, and while obviously most people were very excited about the return of Polly Waffle we noticed a disturbing trend.

After surveying a range of staff members in their early to mid 20s, most said, “What is the Polly Waffle?”

It is pretty shocking to realise that the Polly Waffle has not been on shelves during the entirety of their adult lives, but luckily they will soon be able to try it.

Robern Menz brought back the Violet Crumble in 2018, another legendary chocolate bar that had sadly left our shelves.

We can't wait for the new Polly Waffle.
