The FIRST Trailer For Netflix’s ‘Dark Crystal’ Prequel Is Enchanting

The Dark Crystal became a dark and twisted fan fave when it was released back in 1982 and now Netflix is reviving the story with a prequel series, titled The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance. 

The prequel, based on J.M. Lee’s Dark Crystal companion novels (Shadows of the Dark Crystal and Song of the Dark Crystal) will see all the Gelflings and Skeksis (the evil bird-like creatures) return as they journey through vibrant imaginary worlds that will leave us in awe. 

The 10-hour series features a massive cat of A-list actors, including Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helena Bonham Carter, Natalie Dormer, Eddie Izzard, Theo James, Toby Jones, Shazad Latif, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mark Strong, Alicia Vikander, Harvey Fierstein, Mark Hamill, Ralph Ineson, Jason Isaacs, Keegan-Michael Key, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Simon Pegg, and Andy Samberg.

Netflix unveiled the first trailer for the series at the end of the week and it sure looks dark, disturbing, and absolutely amazing! 

The series will drop on Netflix August 30.
