Fox Broadcasting Company
It is no secret that when we hear that American shows are getting a reboot, at the start we are stoked and then reality kicks in and we are like “how the eff are we meant to watch this?”
Well, fear no more, because dreams do come true!
It has just been announced that Channel 10 will be airing the 6-part reboot of Beverly Hills 90210!
Beverly Hills 90210 originally aired on Network 10 from 1990 – 2000 so, it’s only natural that it has made its way back home with some of the OG cast, including, Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh), Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh), Tori Spelling (Donna Martin), Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders), Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman) and Brian Austin Green (David Silver).
It has also been confirmed that the late Luke Perry's character will also feature in the storyline of the reboot.
The first episode of the reboot premieres August 7th in the U.S. but sadly won’t be shown here until later this month or early September!
Daniel Monaghan, Network 10 Head of Programming, released a statement saying, “Beverly Hills 90210 was a cultural phenomenon on 10 when it aired in the 90’s and ever since, fans have pleaded to have the original cast members to return to the world’s most famous postcode. We are thrilled to have it back and it will air on 10 later this year.”
We are so excited!
