Teen airlifted to RNS after Wyong Rd accident

UPDATE 5AM:
An 18 year old male is set to undergo surgery on a broken ankle and femur today, after being involved in an accident where a car collided with a tree on Wyong Road at Tuggerah last night.
He was airlifted to Royal North Shore hospital in a serious condition, while two teens were also transported to John Hunter, where they remain in stable conditions.
EARLIER: Ambulance media reports the 18 year old has a suspected broken leg and pelvic injuries, while a 15 year old has multiple cuts and hip injuries and a 13 year old suffered bruising to his face and shoulder pain.
The incident occurred around 5 past 6 tonight, and left Wyong road closed westbound near Ibis road until just before 7:30. Four bus routes were diverted while the Ambulance rescue helicopter landed..
Tuggerah Lakes Police are investigating.
