We're being reassured the Central Coast's hospitals are well equipped to treat COVID patients and keep others safe.

It's been revealed multiple cases being treated in Gosford Hospital right now are from Sydney.

Parliamentary Secretary Adam Crouch says it isn't cause for concern.

Meantime, 45 Central Coast pharmacies are about to start administering the Moderna Vaccine with the first batch to come online from next week.

Demand is very high and the new jab is TGA-approved for kids as young as 12. But Robert King from the Central Coast Pharmacy Guild says booking people in is proving complex.

"We don't know when we're going to receive it until potentially the day before we get it, so it is difficult for pharmacies to give people definitive days and times for a vaccination," he said.

The Central Coast has recorded 27 new COVID-19 cases today.
