Q: How often would you say a university assignment has been looked over by a court judge?
A: Not often.
Well it’s happened… A Melbourne student, Chinmay Naik, failed an assignment on dogs, which will cost him his degree and his visa, so he’s taken Monash University to court.
Mr Naik handed the assignment in 19 days late and received just 12%.
But the 23-year-old isn’t lying down. He has already contacted the Victorian Government, ex-PM Malcolm Turnbull and the Human Rights Commission, all to no avail.
Now he is in front of the courts, hoping the judge will exempt him from the class.
