Street Robbery Near Thornton Shopping Centre
16yo victim had just withdrawn cash
A teenage boy has been robbed at knifepoint near Thornton Shopping Centre.
The 16 year old had just withdrawn cash from thr Westpac ATM around 10:40 Thursday night, when another teen approached him demanding his wallet.
The victim gave him money and ran off.
Police say the offender also fled on foot down Taylor Avenue.
The suspect, who is Caucasian and about 17 years old was wearing a grey Adidas hoodie, grey pants and white joggers.
He also has a distinctive piercing in his left eyebrow.
