Southern Downs Regional Council Planning Scheme Changes

The Southern Downs Regional Council is seeking community feedback over proposed changes to residential uses in rural Zones

Council is proposing to restrict any developments within one kilometer of intensive animal industry which include feedlots, piggeries and poultry farms.

Council says the changes would protect those industries from conflict with other users.

Consultation is open until the end of next month.
