Louise from Angel Paws Inc. has spoken to Hit 103.1 about the heart ache that local animals and pet owners are experiencing since the floods.

One story in particular pulled on our heart strings, an 80-year-old woman had to surrender her cat to the pet rescue facility after leaving her home and the family members around her being allergic to cats.

That story is just one of many popping up since the February flooding, but you're able to help out.

Now Angel Paws are asking for more of us to consider fostering, due to the inundation of animals.

If you're considering fostering a dog or cat until it can find it's furever home, get in touch with Angel Paws and they will visit your home to make sure it's ready to take on four legged friends.
