If you've thought about getting a pet this year - it might be the year to get get a cat.

Due to an enormous influx of cats and kittens throughout kitten season, RSPCA Victoria has over 1,400 cats in care! In a bit to find as many cats and kittens loving owners, the animal welfare organisation is waiving the adoption fee for adult cats.

New Year, New Home is the aim for all cats in care with RSPCA Victoria.

“We desperately need to find forever homes for all of them as soon as possible and to make way for the many more cats and kittens that will come into our care in the coming months.” said RSPCA Victoria CEO, Dr Liz Walker.

Fees will be waived until January 31st - so if you've been thinking of adopting a puss, this could be the perfect time!

The promotion excludes kittens under the age of four months.
