Riverina man injured in Sydney hospital stabbing
29 year old woman arrested
A man from the Riverina has been stabbed by a complete stranger at Sydney's RPA hospital overnight.
The 45 year old man, who had been transferred there from Wagga Base Hospital, was waiting in the triage area, when it's claimed a 29 year old female patient stabbed him in the back.
Police say it was a random and unprovoked attack.
The man is now in a stable condition after surgery, the woman is under police guard awaiting a mental health assessment.
